Freedom Is Not Free

 
Dear Friends,
 
I try to always take time to remember the courageous young men and women who have served and protected us, especially at this time of year.
 
Although quite a few years have passed, I remember the times during that part of my life – some of those times I remember like they were yesterday. So proud to serve, but at the same time, I was missing my wife, family & friends so much. Then the apprehension, deeper loneliness & fear I experienced when I learned that I was going into combat, in a country many thousands of miles away. I’ll never forget! This leaves me with so much compassion and respect for all of those who serve...THANK YOU!!!
 
Remember, “freedom is not free!”
